The LG KC910 Renoir, launched in November 2008 marked LG's entry into the 8 MP camera phones market. It was introduced in direct competition with Samsung’s M8800 Pixon and i850 Innov8 and Sony Ericsson's CyberShot C905. The LG KC910 Renoir was following in the footsteps of the Viewty.
A quad band phone with 3G Network supported by the high speed HSDPA (at 7.2Mbps) technology the Renoir is not only a good looking phone but one that is relatively heavy on features. Its exact dimensions are 107.8 x 55.9 x 14 mm and weight 114 grams. The phone comes with a 3 inch TFT resistive touch screen rendering 256K colours. Flash User Interface and downloadable wallpapers are additional display features available on the LG KC910 Renoir. The phone’s camera is one of its best selling features. At 8 megapixel, with Schneider-Kreuznach optics, options of both auto and manual focus and a xenon flash, the phone makes taking pictures pleasurable. The camera is designed to offer special features like geo-tagging, face, smile and blink detection, touch-focus and image stabilization (accelerometer sensor). It can also capture video – VGA @ 30fps and QVGA @ 120fps. One can also use the photo-call feature available on the handset.
An A-GPS support system makes it possible to be in touch with the world even while you are on the move. The browser is a WAP 2.0/xHTML, HTML. The WLAN configurations read as: Wi-Fi 802.11b/g. The phone’s v2.0 Bluetooth with A2DP is also state-of-the art! The audio and video playback formats include - MP3 / MPEG4 / AAC and DivX / Xvid respectively. The LG KC910 Renoir has a document viewer equipped to handle MsWord, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF formats. LG also gave the LG KC910 Renoir speakerphones with Dolby sound!
