If you like the features of a smartphone but wish that you did not have to shell out the bucks, then grab the LG KC780. A cutting edge 8 MP camera phone, the LG KC780 is priced at a fraction of the cost of a smartphone but incorporates similar, if not the exact same, imaging features.
LG launched the “world’s slimmest 8 MP camera phone” when it brought the KC780 into the mobile phone market. At 107 x 52 x 13.9 mm and in a slide form, the feature-packed phone couldn’t get slimmer!
The phone’s camera is embellished with Schneider-Kreuznach lenses, face and smile detection functions and an auto-rotate feature (accelerometer sensor) besides the regular auto focus and LED flash. This makes it possible to click brilliant pictures which when watched on a large television screen, looks awesome. The TV out function of the phone makes it possible to directly view pictures and videos off the LG KC780. Video can be captured at 720 x 480@30fps.
A 2.4” TFT screen supporting 256K colours, 140 MB internal memory plus a 8 GB MicroSD card slot, makes display and storage capacities of the phone relatively efficient. The phone has various entertainment options, including gaming, a FM radio and a multi audio-format supportive music player. Both polyphonic and MP3 ring tones are available.
The handset runs on a 2G network, has GPRS (Class 12, 32 – 48 kbps), HSCSD, and EDGE technology. It is incorporated with a Bluetooth and a USB port. The browser of the LG KC780 is a WAP 2.0/xHTML and its messaging client supports SMS, EMS, MMS and E-mail. The LG KC780 also has a document viewer supporting Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF formats.
